They are the only car rental that I've heard of with "geographic restrictions" within the USA (like paying extra to drive a car with unlimited mileage from MO to OH). They hold fees on your CC even after you cancel the rental, and then tell you your CC holder must ok the release of those funds (???). Lydia and Christy, who were the only help available, were complete an utter idiots, and no help at all. My advice to everyone, DON'T RENT FROM THRIFTY AT STL EVER!!!
I signed up for a $20 special rate through Priceline and I was charged approx $56 per day. Definitely i will dispute this.
We got a pretty good price. Service was super fast! Car was great! Only one little thing that bothered me. When we were waiting at airport for a shuttle ride for them to open at 6 AM on a Saturday. Right at 6AM Budget and another car rental shuttle were there right at 6 AM waiting. So, if you need a car early I would use Budget.
Absolutely the worst car rental experience in my life. The staff is ghetto and unprofessional. Their customer service is nonexistent, and they have hidden costs and fees that they tell you about after the fact.
Horrible location. Will NEVER rent through them again and will complain to Thrifty's main office. Never again....
NEVER RENT FROM HERE AGAIN. Worst customer service experience ever. Rep on phone was useless and rude. Suggest retraining employees on the importance of customer support. Severely disappointed and frustrated.
Just got my emailed bill. I filled up the car last night and drove 2 minutes to the hotel and returned the car immediately this morning. They charged me a $47 fuel bill. They were very fast when i picked up the car, " initialed a lot of little spaces..... READ THEM!
Experience was great until the return. The woman at the desk was rude and didn't communicate with me at all. I understand that they were short staffed, I worked at Dollar rental before and Sunday's were extremely hectic and frustrating but customer service is still key. And she was already pissed off that they were short staffed and complaining out loud. Checked out by Sonia. She checked us in as well a few days ago and was fine then, maybe being short staffed affected her attitude .
